AZ54

We build the layer other healthcare products are built on.

A small team building infrastructure in the markets where it is used, and saying plainly what it has and has not done.

How we got here.

AZ54 started with a narrow problem: pharmacies in Central and West Africa were handling money in ways their software could not follow. Solving it properly meant building payment infrastructure — operator integrations, a double-entry ledger, wallets, webhooks — rather than a feature.

Two things became clear once it was running. The distribution that mattered was not ours: it belonged to the software vendors the pharmacies already used. And the same counter that could take a payment could also take a measurement — which is how screening ended up on the same infrastructure as collection.

That is the company today: an infrastructure layer, sold to the software and networks that reach healthcare, with a second question opening behind it — what to do with the routine data all of this produces, without becoming its owner.

5 people full-time, and no head count inflated by advisers or contractors. Revenue is 2025, actual. We publish no projection — a forecast on a company page is a claim about the future dressed as a fact.

Recognition.

AZ54 was selected for the Programme de Résidence Entrepreneuriale Croisée – Bâtisseurs Africains, a cross-residency programme for African founders. It is the one distinction we list, because it is the one we received.

What we are not affiliated with.

  • Meditect is an independent company, based in Côte d'Ivoire, and a commercial B2B partner. Neither company owns any part of the other, and no Meditect figure appears anywhere on this site.
  • No foundation, accelerator or institution is a partner of AZ54. Where one has supported the sector, that is their work, not ours to claim.
  • External capital raised is stated as a figure and nothing more — we name no instrument and no investor here.

Small team, direct answers.

Whatever you are evaluating, the person who replies is the person who built it.
